Quarantine 2: Terminal
Throughout the film, we see normal people (casually clothed) getting infected which may make the audience more scared as they may be able to identify themselves with some of the characters.
The
man’s make-up adds to the common conventions of supernatural horror as red eyes and foaming at the
mouth makes him seem possessed and not humanly. This is further shown when the man bits the flight attendant, which adds suspense as the audience may question whether she will now become infected as well.
In addition to this, in most horror films, the antagonist is mostly the last to be, and hardest to kill which is shown in this film as we see the re-appearance of this man at the end of the film.
In this film, the infected men, seem to target the women more which emphasizes the stereotypical idea of women being more vulnerable. The first victim which we see is a female, and even at the end of the film, when we see the reappearance of the man from the plane, he had been trying to also target a woman.
